Instead of just posting a general thread saying how much I dig the comic (tore thruogh the archive in the last day), both the writing and the art, I thought I'd post here about this character since she's probably my favorite so far. I've always thought bunnies of people who work hard and then know how to strip it off and play hard.

Or at least try to.

But I have to ask, if anyone knows this, what color are her eyes? Were they ever shown in some place I missed? Any clues? Any theories?

I'm just curious.

Thanks for your kind words! Beth is a lot of fun - she has really stepped into the spotlight since the beginning strips. I can't say that we actually planned this. We knew that she was Lionel's secret crush, but beyond that we didn't have a plan for her.

We've only shown Beth's eyes once - and then in black & white - but to answer your question: Beth's eyes are blue.

Thanks for the answer, I was going to say green because of that one guest art, but I wasn't sure if it was correct or not.

Beth is based - at least physically - on a girl I worked with, a professional Jewish woman with blonde hair and blue eyes. I wanted Beth to be Jewish, but not at all stereotypical - and aside from the holiday scenes and a few others - it is never even brought up, which is how it should be.

Jeebus. Danielle's based on someone, Beth's based on someone. Is sonya based on just random movie actresses or are you really that blessed with friends?

I had almost forgotten about this for a while. I started coloring it but when I came back to it today I decided that I just liked it with the single blue color - the reason I was asking obviously.

Even though this doesn't seem like a fanart kind of comic I figured I might as well post it. The arm's a little wonky, but no one's looking there. Hope it's not too much...
